Rachel Lauginiger
Chef Rachel Lauginiger, originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has carved a diverse culinary path that led her from Philadelphia and Brooklyn to the tranquil Catskills. Here, she draws inspiration from the region’s micro seasons, creating dishes that celebrate fleeting, seasonal produce. Growing up in a large Italian family, her favorite meals to cook include nostalgic chicken cutlets and perfectly balanced sandwiches. Proud of her varied experiences, from restaurant kitchens to private chef work and butchery, Rachel values her adaptability and willingness to embrace new challenges. When she’s not in the kitchen, Rachel finds joy in simple pleasures, like relaxing by a creek with a can of sparkling wine. At Fellow Mountain Cafe, Rachel brings her love for seasonal ingredients and heartfelt cooking to every dish, creating a warm and inviting experience for all who visit.

Most of our breads and pastries are on the counter by 8am when we open for breakfast, which we serve all day. Lunch begins at 11am.

Depends on the day. Most of our pastries are sold out by 12pm or earlier. Cinnamon rolls usually sell out between 10am and 11am. Other menu items will sometimes sell out on our busiest days, which are weekends and holidays. We do not make more once we are sold out.

Our kitchen is small and all of the items we make require several days of preparation, which takes up a lot of our available rack space over the course of that time. All of our products are baked on premise daily and we utilize every available inch to bake as much as we can.

Fellow Mountain Cafe is built in accordance with the most recent ADA guidelines; offering an ADA compliant lift, bathroom, and entrances. Guests can find the lift on the right side of the building. Please call 518.628.5216 with any questions and for assistance with operating the lift.
